Spurn
Soundtrack production for local suspense short film Spurn by Declan Wall.
Pulling from unreleased material, offcuts from Realisations, as well as sewing together newer audio pieces, I aimed to build tension, and release sensibly for any lulls.
Declan reached out after listening to Seeing Grey off of my mentioned album, with a vision of how my textural ambient music can set the tone. I found our thinking aligned, and through coffee and pen on Moleskine ideation it became clear that a great score could come about.
I worked to weave the audio through the film, underlining each moment. At peak times the soundtrack is the right kind of abrasive.
To date, I still think of how much I appreciate having the opportunity.
